I don't mean that the actual exchange rate number change is minor, it's effect on the average person's direct purchasing power for local goods, is minor compared to inflation.


Fair enough, I was referring specifically to stuff like the chrono you're considering which is made, bought and shipped in dollars. A risk with waiting for prices on imported luxury goods in sa to drop is that our currency has been on a pretty much consistent decline for a couple decades.
