                        <content:encoded><![CDATA[Greetings<br><br>Does anyone know if these rifles were ever sold in South Africa ?<br><br>I was recently visiting a local gun shop where a customers rifle was being cleaned<br>After asking I was told it was a Husqvarna in .308<br>Sounded interesting to me as I had never heard of these rifles in SA<br>Was definitely a Mauser style bolt and action<br><br>Rifle had a nice scope mounted<br><br>What was even more interesting is that the barrel looked stainless steel and had been fluted and crowned<br>One wonders if this was a re-barrel job ?<br>What was more than intriguing was the &quot;owner&quot; - who just shouted INCONGRUOUS<br>Not at all the sort of person one would think to own such an unusual set up ?<br>I obviously could not ask to see the license<br><br>I am sort of thinking rifle handed in for destruction and diverted and somehow &quot;put on the market&quot; and re-licensed ? With someone making quite a bit of loot - seeing as they acquired the rifle for free !<br><br>Would that make any sort of sense ?<br>]]></content:encoded>
