It would be something along the lines of the attached but perhaps not quite so short. The idea would be to use it with low velocity cast bullets primarily.



My one dream still is to build a bullpup 303 for a bakkie rifle. Full barrel length, but 85cm OAL as well, maybe 95cm. The sketch is done and I have started on a pine version of the stock, but I dont get to work on it much.


That's a very interesting idea and as a history geek one that really appeals. The brits were big on bullpups from way back. The Thorneycroft being an early 303 chambered example.

Why not? If it has no sentimental or collector's value, why not chop and change it into something usefull?


Because I'm an arrogant grumpy rooinek who thinks that hydrodip on a 100 year old wooden rifle stock is like a tight dress, high heels and stage makeup on a sous tannie. Taste is a subjective thing though so luckily people can do as they wish with their property.

My irrational urge is to make a very short, like less than 16 inches short, 'tanker' out of a P14 but in a way that looks like it may have been factory.

Even more verkrampte rooiek mates that me are incensed at the idea so I will have to do it at some point.
