Some more eye candy.

So been toiling away on this one for the last few weeks as its a gift for bloke thats letting me on his property after Xmas, It a fair bit bigger than the boners I have made in the past as this bloke is a bit of a unit and has big mits. I really wasn't a fan of red but this one I really like a lot. Steel is nitroV and thanks to Deermaster for hardening it for me at short notice mate appreciated  :onya: and also the sheath too.handle is malee burl with red resin brass pins and one red mosiac pin in the rear, First time using nitroV and wont be the last  I tell ya its awesome stuff, just need to sell a few knifes and Ill be able to get me a kiln

"More Aussie Boners" and "Some more eye candy." could give the wrong impression of what to expect. It was a relief to me but could cause disappointment for some.

Back to serious programming, those are nice looking blades.

I have amended the heading. Worried it might cause offence  ;D

Another Aussie knife

I finished off another boner just before Christmas. The steel is AEBL, with a shallow hollow grind bevel. It has a tapered tang, with black and orange G10 handles, fine G10 liners and G10 pins. Its the first time I have used this handle material - I thought it came up well with the orange and green liners.

I like that a lot. A useful blade shape and my favourite material for scales.

When you say "Aussie" and "boning" in the same sentence .... eish ...

Is the maker a regular full time maker, or rather a hobbyist?
