Good Day Gents ,
Greetings and best wishes
Musgrave and stocks ...
I was / am looking for a wooden left hand stock - or an old stock that I could modify - for a Mauser action - as made for the original old Musgraves which were based on Mauser actions ( Mostly K98 ? )
I sent email to the address on the website - no reply. I phoned Musgrave - in Ermelo , and after the second attempt was put through to the workshop. No answer from that quarter. So I sent a message to the WhatsApp address NO reply to that either ?
How do companies operate with this level of service ?
Does anyone have the contact details of an actual person (at Musgrave) that can provide an answer and some assistance ?
Thank you
Musgrave in Ermelo took over the Musgrave name after the company in Bleomfontein closed down. They mostly have built new rifles on VZ24 actions. They do make stocks. Your request for info is being done in a time period which I refer to as "injury time". Most probably they are closed ove the festive season and will only be open on 5 January.

My initial contact was in early November... long before any "injury time"
No-one ever got back to me - this post here is belated - post action report
Hoping someone had contact details that worked ... for the New Year sometime in January
Hi Newton, have you tried a few of the bigger gun shops in your area?
With the latest shift to chassis, I am sure that someone will have an old Musgrave stock for sale.

🙂
Seems my only luck is bad luck ...
I have tried a few places - no luck so far
People seem to think that old MAUSERS are to passe to need chassis / rofl
People that have the old original MUSGRAVE Mausers tend to keep them and look after them
I was hoping the new Musgrave had taken over the old stock from the old Musgrave

Our LGS had some old stocks for sale - I can check with them from end of next week.
