I measured my rifles and cut this. Converts a 3 or 4 rifle safe with shelves, to 9 rifles, 4 with scopes, five unscoped.
And I cut the silly side shelves out.
Damn, that is smart! You just scored me an ammo safe for the price of some scrap MDF. Thank you!

I have a roll of double sided Velcro which I think I'll add to your design to secure them in place. That and some PVC end caps epoxied to the floor to cup the muzzles.

Use a triple layer of that green or black plastic diamond mesh from builders, it lifts away from floor a bit and offers many arrest positions for muzzle

If all you need are shelves, melamine board cut to size and some silicone can do it.
They go in like lego.
