155mm (G5 and G6)
I'd really like to have the training for the formidable G6, I've only seen it live at the South African Museum of Military History, Johannesburg. If you know a guy who can make it happen, please let me know π
It is an awesome piece of kit.
Sadly I see the previous CO of our School of Artillery was only there till end March 2020 - he was course leader when I did my officer's training there many years back - not that I would have been able to arrange a trip in one of these while he was there, just that he was someone I respected and I knew he ran a training school to be proud of.
Some of the other toys we played with in my time (excluding the Bateleur and Vulture which I never saw myself).

A small group of us also trained with 120mm mortars to be used in air drop applications.
And now I am way too far off topic, sorry ;D
But 12 x 550mm still wins
But 12 x 550mm still wins
How long does it take to fire 12?
Technically I donβt see why you could not hit all the manual triggers at the same time but just checking with the chaps as target acquisition systems may not allow it. Just asked for clarification, shall come back with a definitive answer.
All ar pretty much once is possible but a firing solution could only be sent to 2 or 3 at any one time.
With an artillery background I still can't compete the sailors with their torpedoes π
I stupidly doubled my 500NE a few years back 🙈🙈🙈 shoulder was black and blue for weeks 🤦οΏ½♀️
