Now you want one.

I started with a Shooting Chrony. That worked fine, but was a schlep to set up. I never shot mine, but the shades gave up the ghost, probably due to UV damage.

Then the Magneto Speed was a revelation.  No missed shots! Just the POI change was its downfall. Sold that and invested in a Labradar. That ran like a charm with very few problems. Unfortunately did not always pick up .223 rounds when shooting through the aperture at the shooting range.

Then the Garmin Xero. All problems solved. Just switch on and put down.

I would like one but I don't do load development enough to justify the cost. The one I used is a rental at the indoor range round the corner from me and was R100 to use.

If I may ask, which indoor range and what is the time limit and total cost, range fees  R? + the R100 for the Garmin rental.

S&O Rivonia. It was R100 for R30mins range tine and R100 for the xero. When I used their previous optical one last year it was free to use.

Thanks for this, I'll definitely use them to go see the readings I get with my SAI PCC and when I try out the S121.
30 mins with a Gucci device like the Garmin will surely be enough to do load development.

I so would use one totally, but its a hell of a lot of anything else worth's of money - be it bullets, cases or propellant. Two kudu hunt, 5 Impala or a eland and some small side edible.
I can not get to 13 K - just can not

I am who I am - I am not who you want me to be.
Therefore I am me.

I think it would. It picked up 100% of the 48 pistol rounds and 30 shotgun shells I fired. Didn't touch it once during the session.

Bloody hell I must have angered the shooting gods. On friday night I cracked the second Pro 1000 shell plate carrier in 6 months and on Saturday my Mossberg 930 SPX broke and pooped out it's charging handle in the first 5 shots of a 6 stage SADPA DMG match. I'm going to need to up my rate of live animal sacrifice it seems.

Agents haven't got stock and reckon shipments out of the States are off. Looks like I'm going to be in for a small fortune to have one made. Like my Hi Standard firing pin that cost just shy of R2k to make and was available in the Sates for $10 this can be got for $12. Being a saffer is starting to grate on my undercarriage.
