Powders are all different and have different bulk densities - how much they fill up your case
It is possible to adjust for this by modifying a copy of the QL powder file
However how do you test for powder density - to get an accurate scientific figure ?
One can use case fill as a rough guide
In my case I am finding the default figure for VVN555 to be not accurate
It is given as 902 [ grams per cubic centimetre ] .. but I believe somewhere round 935 to be more of a real World figure
Does anyone have an accurate figure for the load density of VVN555 ?
My QL figure = 1.62 g/cc
GRT = 1.6 material density
GRT bulk density = 930 kg/cubic metre
My QL figure = 1.62 g/cc
GRT = 1.6 material densityGRT bulk density = 930 kg/cubic metre
YES yes
So I was close on the bulk density - GRT is closer than QL
BUT
GRAMS PER CUBIC CENTIMETRE
Here is a very interesting discussion
Of Case Capacities, Bulk Densities, and Accurate Predictions
Bulk density for GRT is thus .930 g/cc
